Nestle CEO, Mark Schneider on Monday announced that Nestle have a new ambition for its global youth initiative tagged “Nestle needs Youth”. He was speaking at an events around the UN General Assembly week.
He stressed that investing on young people is important to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) and at the same time far – sighted for investment for companies as it boots economies and business.
He said that by 2030 they are determined to help young people develop their skills and gain experiences so they can find jobs or create their own businesses.
“We want to help equip the next generation for employment, to become creative front runners in our company, successful agripreneurs, entrepreneurs and game changers regardless of their field or level of expertise. It will help build thriving, resilient communities and supports the UN sustainable development goals” he said.
However, Nestle said their ambition is to help 10 million young people around the world have access to economic opportunities by 2030.
