The Nigeria bourse at the end of its activities, on Wednesday closed with 52.48 point to close at 0.15 per cent. The market Capitalization (MKT CAP) however closed flat in the day maintaining its N12.171 trillion which it closed on Tuesday.
CILEASING for the second straight session led the percentage price gainers chart that was dominated by green chip stocks like NASCON, VITAFOAM, UAC-PRO among others while MRS, CONTISURE, LEARNAFRCA and UNITYBNK flows through the downside.
In the day, the financial stocks index grew 0.58 per cent due to the appreciation held by financial entity such as UBA 2.39 percent, ZENITHBANK strengthen with 1.62 percent, followed by STANBIC with 1.22 percent among others. Also, Consumer Goods index, leap into the upside with a 0.03 per cent thanks to the ₦5.02 gain by NESTLE PLC at 0.41 per cent growth recorded for the day.
On the bourse stock performance, GUARANTY PLC a led which had its price closing flat at ₦40.00 peak to ₦0.659 billion equating into a 24.21 per cent of the bourse aggregate value turnover in the day.
All Share Index (NSEASI) on Wednesday 04 October, 2017 closed at 0.15 per cent at 35,358.75 to a 35,306.09 in the previous session.
Market Capitalization closed on a flat to close at ₦12.171 in a consecutive sessions.
On the floor of the bourse records a decrease of 6.52 per cent with exchange hands of 3,599deals against previous session’s 3,850 deals.
The total equities traded on the floor of bourse stood at 72.56 per cent decrease to close at ₦174.0million units to the previous session’s₦ 634.3million units.
The Value of equities traded for the day decrease by 29.04 percent against the previous session’s ₦3.833 billion to ₦2.720 billion which was recorded for the day.
Top Gain (19):
C & I LEASING, NASCON and VITAFORM led the total nineteen (19) top gained stocks today. C&I LEASING gained at 9.50 per cent increase to close at ₦1.96, followed by NASCON with increase of 4.99 per cent to close at ₦12.62 and VITAFORM which is the third on the list appreciated by 4.78 per cent to close at ₦2.63.
Top Decline (18):
MRS, CONTISURE and LEADAFRICA led the eighteen (18) top declined stocks today. MRS dip 4.87 per cent to close at ₦30.39 followed by CONTISURE with decrease 4.67 per cent at ₦.43 and LEADAFRICA PLC which fall the third on list 3.88 per cent to close at ₦0.76.
