New Horizons, a global Information Technology training organization in Nigeria, has built and delivered a multi-million naira Information and Communication Technology Centre for Bells University, Otta, Ogun State.
The project evolved from a strategic partnership on modern IT skills acquisition for students of the university, which led to the building of 150-seater capacity IT training center which will provide the students of the university e-business certifications and programmes such as Cisco, Microsoft, Android, Java, Security, among others.
Tim Akano, Managing Director of New Horizons, Speaking at the commissioning of the ICT project situated at the Philip Emeaguali Studio of the Bells University ICT Resource Centre in Otta, said the project joins the list of 15 other universities and 150 secondary schools where New Horizons has built ICT centres, all aimed at preparing the students for ongoing global digital revolution.
He said the organisation is set to infuse new skills in the Nigerian youths in order to effectively prepare them for the future. New Horizons is reputed for having a long, unbroken track record of working with education; institutions in the country.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of Bells University, Prof. Professor Jeremiah Ojediran, commended New Horizon for its global vision towards instilling future-ready IT skills in the students, saying that as the first private university of technology in the country, the varsity was excited over the partnership.
