Nigeria’s popular comedian, compere and entrepreneur, Ayodele Okundalaye popularly known as SACO (Senior Advocate of Comedy) said his preparedness and readiness paved way for him in the entertainment industry.
He made this known on Tuesday during a strategic and mentorship program (SMP 2018) hosted by the Spirit of SACO initiative at Sheba Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking on the importance of creating value, Damilola Oluwafatoyinbo, an author and speaker said placing values on things that matters is the ultimate.
He said placing priority on the right things, planning and positioning are the key factor to becoming successful and a better person.
“People don’t really care about your qualification but they care about your value. You value on knowledge. Don’t be futuristic and become useless in the present. Great things are built on strategic planning; a person who does not have a solid plan has a shaky future”, he said.
Mr. Gbenga Totoyi, a business consultant spoke on the need to turn a talent into a product for consumers to purchase. He said; “money is a measure of a value packaged in a product”.
Niyi Adesanya, Management Consultant and CEO, FifthGear Plus, session crystallised the event and particularly spoke about the importance of mentorship and breaking disadvantage gap through mentorship.
“Getting a good mentor will guide you, show you the way, help you stand on your own and break the gap. Value is very important and every mentor must see value in their protégées in order to create a long lasting relationship”, he said.
